A-TACS AU and A-TACS FG

BUY A-TACS HERE

So all that I need from you today is feedback on how you think this camo blends into an Arid environment. Not compared to any other pattern (we'll get to that) but as a stand alone pattern.
You can go to my website and give this a A-F grade on the Tactical Report Card by following this link:

What could be improved on?

What products would you like to see in the Arid pattern?

you can see more pics and where to buy on the A-TACS website at:

The A-TACS AU and A-TACS FG are two of the best commercially available patterns today. While I can’t speak of the specifics on how the patterns were created, their unique look with organic shapes and earth tone color schemes set them far apart from any other pattern. The world has been waiting and watching for a very long time for a new pattern to facilitate operations in temperate environments. The sophistication of the arid pattern also sets it apart from any other. While everyone I have met calls the A-TACS AU pattern ugly, they also have to admit that it is the most effective pattern for that environment to date.

  1. I like this new pattern quite a bit. Recently I know that the US Army has potitioned developers to get new camoflauge out there to be tested so they can roll out either a 2 uniform set or a uniform for Arid envirinmetns and one seperate for temperate as well as an intermediate for garrison and training. If there was a temperate jungle/ woodland camoflauge to go with this one that was this effective in that environment you would have yourself a lethal combination.

  2. While the FG is not green enough and is too bright to be effective in a woodland type area the Arid pattern is the best I have tested in rocky areas.

  3. I’m no pro, but from personal experience you can break up your figure with a plaid shirt and disapear. We’ve (my wife and I) been conducting our own test with our A-TACS FG and Multicam combat shirts; we did not have any A-TACS AU to test. Since it is always easier to conceal yourself behind foliage, we played with the “worst” case scenario by just standing near the edge of the woods here in Colorado. After playing around we’ve firmly sided with A-TACS because it does a very good job at making the human outline disapear. We’ve also noted that the more specific a camo is, the better a job it’ll do in it’s intended environment. Though Multicam is good, it doesn’t seem to excel in anyone area in CO, which means we’re just going to use it for accessories like plate carriers, leg holsters, etc. If they come with a brown A-TACS we’ll more than likely get that and fade out the AU and keep the FG….which works wonders in the woods.

But hey, that’s just my opinion. Thanks for the post!
